Love In The Vines Tour

Start Tour:

Your Vintage Connections Love in the Vines romantic tour begins from the moment we pick you up from your accommodation in our world class environmentally efficient, 5 star safety rated, climate controlled Mercedes Benz. 

Your tour guide will get to know you during the day in order to help us to personalise your romantic tour.  Take advantage of our connections.

Our first wine tasting is generally booked in at 10-10:30am.

1st Winery:

To get to our selected cellar door we will travel through the beautiful Hunter Valley, taking in the sights and sounds of this amazing wine region via the most picturesque roads possible.

You are in for a full day tour, and we will start you in the right place.  Vintage Connections want every winery that you visit to deliver and build the pleasure and satisfaction you are expecting from your precious time in the Hunter.

Your friendly hosts will take you through a selection of Hunter wines starting from the ‘lightest’ to ‘heaviest’ of whites and then the ‘lightest’ to ‘heaviest’ of reds, perhaps rounding the tasting session off with an amazing fortified white port or a Muscat.

Vintage Connections will make sure that your hosts are aware of the nature of your romantic visit, so that care can be taken to seat you appropriately, to personalise your intimate visit to the winery.

2nd Winery:

After your first winery experience we will take in some sights and journey towards our second winery.  On the way we will talk about your experience at the first cellar door and continue to build your wine profile.

We will invite you to enjoy a complementary, palate-refreshing cool bottle of quality water along the way.  This will help you to stay hydrated and maximize your pleasure both during, and after your full day wine tasting experience.

Food and wine matching can be a great joy that can be taken into your life for the long journey of your partnership.

If you choose this option, your second winery will include an incredible cheese and wine matching tutorial, A rare Gin and Cheese matching experience or even a Cocktails and Cheese matching experience.

A world class heritage style winery with the most astounding cheeses matched to beautiful wines could be your next experience.

Alternatively you will enjoy a second winery of exceptional quality with views to nourish the soul.

The time is now approximately 12:30pm.

It’s Lunch Time:

You have now sampled 15-20 high quality Hunter Valley wines, and are buzzing with excitement from the experience of the day so far.

You will take a relaxing break for a lunch experience that will see you at our next winery in about one and a half hours.

Lunch time options:

• Private dining experience – a wine matched meal in a private room
• A well sized ploughman’s lunch with a beautiful craft beer
• A beautiful picnic hamper with a glass of quality wine
• A comprehensive antipasti platter
• A breath taking meal at Bistro Molines
• A restaurant of your choice.

There is some flexibility in the location of these options. You might like an incredible view, or a cool environment inside a mountain chamber filled with delicious ambiance.  You may prefer a ploughman’s lunch inside an active micro craft brewery.

We will chat with you to determine where we go for our lunch break, or we can pre-booked for you.

We will connect you to a place that best suits your vision of your ideal Hunter Valley romantic experience.

3rd Winery

We will arrive at our next winery experience at about 2-2.30pm.

If you are a fan of high quality chocolate and are interested in quality wine, we will take you to a place that will present a Chocolate and Wine pairing experience for two that will astound and delight even the most astute connoisseur.

Alternatively if you have a favorite winery that you wish to visit, that will be our next stop.

4th Winery

Depending on your itinerary selection you may connect to a favourite winery or experience something completely new.

Whatever your choice for this next experience, the bonding and joy as a result of the day so far will be making your heart smile.

You are full of memories of the things you’ve done, the sights you’ve seen and the people that you have met.

The smell of the oak barrels ageing the precious wine mingles with the sounds of wineries working their magic.

Significant moments of your day play in the background of your mind, building on your Hunter Valley experience.

Boutique shops and distinctive aromas build on the memories of your day so far.

5th Winery

Your wine tasting experience has been varied, generous and diverse. Wide valley vistas that made travel a delight, wine samples that tantalised your taste buds, precious time with your lover.

Your final stop will be a wonderful private tasting on a hill in a beautiful private vineyard with 360 degree views.. At the right time of the year the tasting ends with the most spectacular sunset.. (this private tasting depends on availability – book in advance!)

Alternatively we will utilize our local knowledge and connections and take you to a place that fits with your style, to put the final touches and a fabulous day.

End Tour:

Most of the cellar doors in the Hunter close at 5pm. We will be enjoying your last wine tasting at around 5-5.30pm.  

You are now feeling fantastic and are brimming with lasting memories and fabulous flavours. You may have purchased some wine and craft industry produce or world class cheese to store in our on board food grade refrigerator. We will be happy to return you to your accommodation, or we can deliver your purchases should you choose to be taken to another destination.
